by Brian Madsen, Tasty Wave Football Writer

The Raiders organization is based on a concept. An Idea. Greatness.

For nearly 5 decades, Al Davis has blazed a trail in search of the ultimate objective. To win Super Bowls. A half century in pursuit of the Lombardi Trophy, has landed the games most storied franchise in 14 Championship Games, 5 Super Bowls, winning 3 World Titles.

Thru the years, memories have been created by playing in the leagues greatest games, with the sports greatest players.

Welcome to the Raiders 50th Season of Football. 2009 Season.

Wrapping up the season last year, the Raiders defeated the Houston Texans (who were on a 4-game winning streak) and winning on the home field of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (knocking the Bucs out of postseason play) to close out the 2008 Season with 5 wins and 11 losses.

Kirk Morrison, "we got a taste of what winning felt like. We ended the year on a good note, in years past that wasn't really the case."

Nnamdi Asomugha, "I don't remember the last time that we have been able to put back-to-back wins together. And to close out a season with it? When we were able to do that with Houston and Tampa Bay, it felt like skies the limit."
